What is machine console in radiology?

Console Representation MRI or CT Console provides Interface

Machine console in radiology means the workstation attached to the MRI or CT or Xray or USG machine where you can see the display of the output from scanner.

Machine and Console for MRI or Ct or X-ray

The machine is called scanner photographs or acquires the high resolution images in formats (generally Diacom) from the subject ie. patient body or organ. There are various radiology machines  that come in various shapes and sizes for different modalities. Depending on the modality, resolution and other factors, the Machines could use different hardware and technologies. It also depends on the model and maker. Whereas console is a program software that comes along with a machine. It is better to have an interface to see or to edit or to archive or to send the images from the machine to other places. The consoles for MRI or CT or Xray or any other radiology modality differ accordingly.

MRI or CT Protocol and Nodes

To send the images from one place to another, it needs protocol.  After years of experience, radiologist and technologist have developed 100s of protocols. The protocols is consist of sequences of thousands of images in a particular angle or place. While Node configuration is required for every machine to send the images for print or archive or reporting purpose. The system settings in the machines provide for Nodes configuration to allow export of images from Console to other places as required. To configure a Node on Machine Console, we need to provide other machine or computer details such as AE-Title, Port No and IP address of the destination. Similarly to get access to Images, similar settings of machine consoles are required to be configured in the receiving machine or computer. Additionally to see the images at destination, PACS is needed.

TeleradiologyHub is a pioneer in multi-panel second opinion in radiology. The platform technically educates patients to know and to upload their Diacom files for secondary review. Likewise, it helps the diagnostic facilities and hospitals in far fetched areas like Somaliland to report their cases. It also provides assistance to ease out technical process during patient load in developed countries like Greece with the help of software and technology knowledge. Technicians and radiologists often reachout TeleradiologyHub to share or to understand better protocols, sequences for specific modality and get know how on how to push images from consoles to Cloud PACS. Lastly manages house of 500+ radiologist in 24 countries and  definite qualitative reporting procedure.
