Right Ankle : Plain
Technique
Plain CT Scan of right ankle was carried out on TRUE Multi detector 500slice scanner. Images recorded and evaluated at appropriate window settings. This examination is limited for the evaluation of soft tissue and vascular structures due to lack of I.V. contrast.
Findings

Visualized parts of distal tibia and fibula appear normal.

Tibio-talar and fibulo-talar joints appear normal.

Calcaneum and talus appears normal in size and trabecular pattern. The navicular cuboid and cuneiforms appear normal.

Sustantaculum tali appear normal.

Inter tarsal joints appear normal.

The metatarsals are visualised normally.

No evidence of fracture in visualized bones. No obvious lytic or sclerotic bony lesion.

No evidence of loss of fat planes between muscles.

No abnormal subcutaneous fluid collection.

Impression
  • No significant abnormality is seen.
